The Bristow Run Elementary School PTO has many fundraising opportunities that allow us to meet the goals we have for the 2008 - 2009 school year. The funds collected from these activities all us to give stipends to the teachers to help with their classroom supplies as well as fund the Accelerated Math Program, the Before and After School Enrichment Program, Reflections Program, and Odyssey of the Mind. The PTO depends on these fundraisers in order to provide our children the best environment for growth throught the school year.

Listed here are several of our on-going fundraising activities and some upcoming events.

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in our communities. When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice. Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to band equipment or computers.

Earn cash for Bristow Run Elementary with General Mills’ Box Tops for Education program! Save the “Box Tops” from the specially marked items you buy at the store and return them to the school in an envelope marked “Box Tops.” The BRES coordinator will collect them and send to General Mills. Twice a year we receive a check for each box top redeemed. Each box top is worth 10¢.

Save those proofs of purchase from participating Campbell products and return them to the school in an envelope marked “Campbell’s.” The BRES Campbells Coordinator will collect them and send them in for redemption.

The Giant A+ Bonus Bucks Program will run from October 3, 2008 - April 2, 2009. After you designate our school, each shopping trip at Giant using your BonusCard earns CASH for our school! You MUST reselect Bristow Run each year. The designation does not cary over each year. Our school will receive a check at the end of the program.
