Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great summer. I hope getting in the school routine has been an easy transition for everyone.
The PTO is pleased to announced we have made a smooth transition from a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). This change means the Bristow Run Elementary PTO is not affiliated with the National or Virgina State PTA, we will no longer pay dues to them. We will keep all of the membership dues paid by Bristow Run families at OUR school to be used for OUR children.
The PTO Board has worked over the summer developing a working budget as well as our new governing ByLaws and Standing Rules. Please feel free to view those documents at any time on our website, www.bres-pto.org.
Please consider volunteering some of you time at Bristow Run, whether it is through a PTO position or directly in your child(ren) classroom. Studies show that children whose parents are involved with their school, ultimately do better in school. Any amount of time is greatly appreciated!
